Two ramps at Parkway Interchange 105 in Tinton Falls are scheduled to close for 9 months for construction starting April 19th

Mar 30 2022

PLEASE NOTE: This is an updated version of this advisory. A previous version listed a different start date.

A southbound exit ramp and a northbound entrance ramp at Interchange 105 of the Garden State Parkway in Tinton Falls will be closed for construction starting Tuesday night, April 19th.

The affected ramps are the exit from the southbound express roadway to eastbound Route 36 and the entrance to the northbound express roadway from westbound Route 36.

Both ramps will be closed for about nine months as a contractor replaces the decks, beams, and parapets of three bridges.

During the closure, southbound traffic on the express roadway bound for Route 36 eastbound will be advised to use exit 102 and follow the signed detour on Asbury Avenue, Shafto Road, and Hope Road to get back to Route 36.

Southbound traffic on the local roadway will not need to detour; that ramp will not be closed during this construction.

Traffic entering the northbound Parkway at 105 will be directed to the local lanes.

The closures are scheduled to be put into place starting at 10 p.m. on April 19th. In the event of bad weather, the work necessary to install the closings will be rescheduled nightly until completed.

These are the first three of five bridges at Interchange 105 scheduled to have their decks, beams, and parapets replaced  under a $17 million contract with Earle Asphalt Co.

Construction on the last of the bridges is scheduled to be completed in the fall of 2023.
