Eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike to be reduced to one lane this weekend

Jun 06 2019

The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced to one lane in two locations this weekend as work proceeds on two construction contracts.

One work zone will be between Interchanges 14 and 14A, where a contractor will be making bridge deck repairs. The other will be approaching the Interchange 14C toll plaza, where the contractor is reconstructing the pavement.

In both work zones, the Extension will be reduced from two eastbound lanes to one.

The lanes will close at about 8 p.m. Friday, June 7th, and reopen no later than 5 a.m. Monday, June 10th.

Drivers are urged to check traffic conditions before they travel through the area this weekend.
