The eastbound Newark Bay-Hudson County Extension of the New Jersey Turnpike will be reduced to one lane this weekend between Interchange 14B and Christopher Columbus Drive.
The closure will begin at around 8 p.m. on Friday, June 8th, and continue until 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 10th, to allow construction crews to repair the bridge deck and make other miscellaneous improvements.
The Christopher Columbus Drive off-ramp also will be closed. Drivers will be detoured to Marin Boulevard.
Traffic impacts could be severe during peak weekend travel times.
In addition to that lane closure, one westbound lane between Interchanges 14A and 14 will be closed overnight from 9 p.m. Friday, June 8th, through 8 a.m. Saturday, June 9th.
